Qatar in the metaverse
Qatar Adventure is Q Life’s record-breaking initiative bringing Qatar to the metaverse. In partnership with Century Games, Q Life used interactive technology on Roblox to reimagine cultural exchange and pioneer Qatar’s cultural activities, traditional items, and landmarks globally.
In its first edition, Qatar Adventure brought the world back to Qatar virtually, one year on from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Through its second edition in 2024, Qatar Adventure firmly established itself as one of the most successful nation-branding campaigns ever to take place in the metaverse. Since 2023, Qatar’s immersive world has amassed over 19 million visits from users all around the globe, building new bridges of understanding between Qatar and the world.
As part of the project, Q Life launched a Roblox shop featuring user-generated items inspired by Qatari culture. Modelled after Qatar’s iconic Souq Waqif, the shop has already attracted over 3 million visits, and counting.
